Singer Gloria Tang Sze-wing (also known as GEM or Deng Zhiqi, 33) has been in a contractual dispute with her first record label hummingbird for 6 years and she says she did not receive any compensation for royalties to her songs that she herself wrote, composed and performed. GEM Gloria Tang joined "Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong" at the age of 13 after writing her first song "Sleeping Beauty". At 15, her mother signed her contract with her first record label hummingbird on her behalf, even though her mother did not understand English well.
