ENEOS & Mitsubishi to accelerate large-scale production study of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) at the Wakayama Plant in Japan

ENEOS Corporation (Representative Director and President: Yamaguchi Atsuji; “ENEOS”) and Mitsubishi Corporation (Representative Director, President and CEO: Nakanishi Katsuya; “MC”) have agreed to jointly conduct a Front End Engineering Design to advance the study of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (“SAF”) production facility at the ENEOS Wakayama Plant in Arida City, Japan (the “FEED”). ENEOS has been studying the feasibility of such a facility since 2022. To advance this study to the next stage, ENEOS and MC, who have been jointly assessing the feasibility on the commercialization of SAF, will work together on the FEED. ENEOS has an established sales network, manufacturing and refining technologies and the expertise in feedstock procurement, while MC has expertise in the procurement of feedstock in Japan and around the world. Nissan promotes Ivan Espinosa as new CEO; Uchida steps down with other senior management changes

YOKOHAMA, Japan, Tuesday 11 March 2025 - Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced changes to its senior management, introducing a significantly renewed leadership line-up to achieve the company's short- and mid-term objectives while positioning it for long-term growth. Effective April 1, the board of directors has approved titles and areas of responsibility for the representative executive officer and executive officers. Mitsubishi Motors to be integrated with Honda-Nissan from end Jan 2025

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. ("Nissan"), Honda Motor Co., Ltd. ("Honda"), and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation ("Mitsubishi Motors") have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to explore the possibility of Mitsubishi Motors’ participation, involvement, and synergy sharing in relation to the business integration through the establishment of a joint holding company outlined in an MOU signed between Nissan and Honda. Nissan, Honda, and Mitsubishi Motors have reached a basic agreement to proceed with discussions based on the framework established in the MOU signed by Nissan and Honda on August 1 regarding the commencement of a strategic partnership focused on intelligence and electrification.
