Toyota Woven City, a Test Course for Mobility, Celebrates the Completion of Phase 1 Buildings

Suzuki debuts first EV eVITARA in Milan Italy & Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 India

Suzuki showcased its first battery electric vehicle (BEV), the e VITARA, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 * , which is being held in New Delhi, India, from 17 January 2025. The e VITARA is Suzuki’s first global strategic BEV model which was unveiled at Milan, Italy in November 2024. Production will commence at the Gujarat Plant of Maruti Suzuki India Limited (hereinafter Maruti Suzuki) in spring 2025, with sales to begin in various countries, including India, Europe, and Japan, around summer 2025. This event marks the first time the Indian spec production model is being unveiled. Eight display models in different body colors are exhibited, along with cut-away vehicles and technical exhibits of the BEV unit, including the eAxle. Toyota launches Woven City to shape the future of mobility

At CES 2025, Toyota Motor Corporation ("Toyota") announced the completion of Phase 1 construction of Toyota Woven City ("Woven City"), its test course for mobility. The launch of Phase 1 is planned for fall 2025 or shortly thereafter. Toyota first announced its transformation into a mobility company at CES 2018 and, at CES 2020, unveiled the Woven City concept being developed in collaboration with Woven by Toyota ("WbyT") to demonstrate Toyota's long-term commitment to shaping the future of mobility. Woven City has made steady progress since its groundbreaking ceremony on February 23, 2021, at the former site of Toyota Motor East Japan's ("TMEJ") Higashi-Fuji Plant in Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. Honda announced that it will participate in JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW BIZWEEK 2024 to be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, Japan from October 15 (Tuesday) to 18 (Friday), 2024. JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW BIZWEEK 2024 will be held as an event to promote new business co-creation by strengthening collaboration between companies.
