Nikkei extend gains with the tech & banking sectors leading as investors return to Japanese equities believing that this recovery has more legs to run, supported by BOJ's dovish hints.

BOJ governor Kazuo Ueda hinted at an international conference for central bankers in Tokyo that the BOJ is unlikely to hike rates so soon amid high levels of uncertainty over trade policies and Japan-US negotiation outcomes.

Meanwhile, Wall Street jumps as US consumer confidence rebounds in May, breaking 5 months of decline.
