Nikkei's recovery expected on Mon as Wall Street rebounds - Fri 20 Dec 2024
Nikkei225 Summary
Fri 20 Dec 2024 - Japan’s Nikkei continues its losing streak as sentiment remains weak after Wall Street's plunge on Wed night.
Leading gainers today are property firms, benefitting from savings on loans as the BOJ projects lower for longer rates.
On the bright side, Wall Street recovered about half of their losses on Friday night on tamer Nov inflation; the PCE price index increased just 0.1% from Oct, lower than expected. Hopefully this can influence the Nikkei positively on Mon's open.
