Tue 26 Nov 2024 - Japan’s Nikkei tumbles 1.5% in the morning on Trump's plan to impose a 25% tariff on all products from Mexico and Canada and an additional 10% tariff on goods from China due to concerns over illegal immigration and the import of harmful drugs like Fentanyl.

Some investors bought back stocks in the afternoon, thinking that the Nikkei has been oversold, helping the index to recover some losses at the close.
